And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld
(saw) His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of GRACE and TRUTH. (John 1:14.)
And of His
fullness we have all received, and GRACE for GRACE. For the law was given through Moses, but GRACE and TRUTH came through
Jesus Christ. (John 1:16-17.
"For by Grace are you saved through faith and not of your selves, it is the gift of God,
not of works lest any should boast." Eph. 2:8-9.

What is Grace?
Grace is undeserved acceptance/respect.
We do not deserve God's acceptance or respect. We deserve death. Grace is getting what we do not deserve, or, Grace is not
getting what we deserve.
*NOT EARNED OR DESERVED
The grace of God is acceptance/respect freely shown towards guilty sinners. It is God showing
goodness to persons who deserve only severity. The Gospel of Grace simply tells us that our Judge has become our Saviour.
That is what makes Grace so Amazing. Amazing Grace how sweet THOU art!

J.I. Packer's "Knowing God."
